Event Details
Come learn about community resources at the library. The library is hosting different organizations to talk about the resources they have to help our community.
Sun City West PRIDES was organized when it became evident that in order to maintain our beautiful community to the high standards that we all expect, we would need to help out. So, in 1982 PRIDES got organized, volunteers stepped up, and our community prospered. We are proud to maintain 26 miles of common areas by, trimming shrubs and trees, planting, watering, and weeding. In addition, we have irrigation monitors who maintain 26 miles of pipeline needed for watering trees and bushes. While a great deal of our work is physical, there is also a need for volunteers to help with office duties, communicating with our members and the public, maintaining our equipment, and helping out at our monthly meetings. Come learn more about our history & what we do - other than wear orange vests and drive super-cool carts! - and how you can support the SCW PRIDES, too!
