The Friends of the R H Johnson Library support a lecture series usually presented on the last Wednesday of the month on topics of health, history, and community resources. 

book cover Presidential road trips old fashion car with Abraham Lincoln and George Washington From George Washington's birthplace to the train depot where Jimmy Carter launched his presidential campaign, travel journalist and syndicated radio host Bill Clevlen digs into his newest book, Presidential Road Trips - 100 Places To Explore and Experience The History of American Presidents.

In a presentation produced for the Smithsonian, Bill gives a glimpse into places like the home where James Madison drafted the U.S. Constitution; George W. Bush's childhood bedroom; and the helicopter Richard Nixon used as left the White House following his resignation. His new book gives travelers and history lovers inspiration to visit these unique spots became part of American presidential history.

Man seating on stepsBill Clevlen is a travel writer and broadcaster that focuses on road trips across America. He produces travel content for radio, TV, and various media outlets around the U.S. He's also the author of popular travel books including 100 Things To Do in America Before You Die and The Ultimate American Music Bucket List. 

The presentation will be on Wednesday, February 25th at 2 p.m. in the Summit Hall A of the Palm Ridge Recreation Center (13800 West Deer Valley Drive). Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. 

It is a free event, but registration is required. 

Your registration online reserves a seat until the start of the event. Please note entry after the start time will be subject to seat availability. You can also call the Data Resource Center to get registered at 623-544-6644.
