Growth of Territories and States in Lincoln's Lifetime.

On Wednesday, March 25th at 2 p.m. in Summit Hall A of the Palm Ridge Recreation Center (13800 West Deer Valley Drive) the library will be welcoming back Abraham Lincoln presenter and historian, John Voehl and his wife Pamela Voehl, to perform as Abraham and Mary Lincoln in the presentation Growth of Territories and States in Lincoln's Lifetime.
Upon Lincoln's birth there were 17-States and the territories only out to the Rocky Mountains. At the end of Lincoln's presidency there were 36-States and territories stretching to the Pacific Oceans, together making the boundaries of the current lower 48-States. Learn how it happened.
